Another writer and academic whom I need to re-read. His most well known novels are probably the Deptford Trilogy: Fifth Business; The Manticore and World of Wonders. I believe I still have copies of his last novels Bred in the Bone and The Cunning Man.

A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.
