I had to browse the bookshop, a book browsers paradise, when visiting Kim Ayres exhibition of portrait photography and this book was sitting on top of a pile. Gripping reading; an excellent companion to Cod.

I guess it's a fascinating book written by a seaman who knows the mysteries of the sea and its inhabitants, has experience with ships and fishermen.

:) I like the cover.It reminds me of something I have forgotten and cannot get back.
Backstreeter - I think no matter how far from the sea one lives in the British Isles deep down you feel the mystery and danger of the sea drawing you to it.
